The coolest mamas in London Town

Oh my god. These girls are cool. So achingly cool. In fact, I am so delighted that I can call any one of these girls my friends, let alone all of them. I cannot begin to tell you how inspired I am by these women, especially given the fact that they are so far removed from your sanitised idea of motherhood that american sitcoms and chick flicks have instilled in our minds. Every time I see any of these hot mamas I feel like I have had a taste of good fashion, good business sense, getting fitter and general yummy mummy abilities (such as being able to feed/entertain/love one's child, whilst exchanging debate on why vice magazine is/isn't mediocre and arguing about whether top shop, vintage or american apparel rules the roost whilst planning the next party session for the weekend over multiple glasses of wine). I love that these girls are hot by any standard, but hotter because they have the hardest job of all- being a mama. Can you say MILF?!

AFUA: Gorgeous, bombastic, lashed, tashed and totally fash. With so many abilities including being a radio DJ for BBC1 Xtra, Magazine Features Editor at Pride, Journalist and Jewellery designer (list goes on...), this girl has become my life inspiration. I love that this girl also happens to be the most dedicated mother I know, who adores her baby and will jump kick any one who messes with Baby N. Amazeballs!

CAROLYN: Wow is this girl hot or what? Model, dancer, former pop star and now the owner of her own PR agency, this girl amazes me because she not only has one, but TWO kids. I have no idea how she manages to look so good, be so smart and still be the coolest cat in all of East London. This girl is Power with a capital P and I always want to run home and do stomach crunches every time I see her!

JENNY: What can I say about Jenny that every one who hasn't heard of Mothers Meeting hasn't said already? This girl is the mama that every woman wants to be. Gorgeous, intelligent and a trendsetter but also a girl who wants to share her fabulous life with other yummy mummies. I know for a fact that Jenny has inspired so many new mamas that there is life after sleepless nights, and she has made a better woman out of me.

ALEX: This is the woman who gave me hope when I needed it most. Being amongst one of my first "mummy friends," she made me feel a little more human again, giving me giggles and making me fall in love with her awesome baby recipes and chilled attitude to life, all whilst chilling at numerous cafes around shoreditch. She is so elegant and chic without trying. I know this girl is going to be the most amazing mumtrepreneur the world has ever seen, and she inspires me to be fitter, stronger and smarter than yesterday. Work it mama!

LUCY:  This girl is nuts. Nuts in the sense that she runs marathons, whilst managing a cheeky 3 year old and a super smiley 11 month old. How on earth does she do it? She is also formerly of Mixmag, and now she has started her own clothing label for kids- Ruff and Huddle. She must be the only person who can drag me out of bed on a rainy Friday morning to pound the pavement at Victoria Park for her running club.  Totes amaze!!!!

The list doesn't end there. I can talk for days about the gorgeous Ruta, or the sweetheart Jaylee, or the beautiful Serena, the cool Cathy and the lovely Nneka. I used to think life ended at mamahood. Boy was I wrong, seems like its just the beginning!
