Boy was I excited the other day when I got an exclusive invite to come to the Nike 1948 studio to attend the Flyknit Collective Workshop with my gorgeous bubba. Courtesy of Jenny Scott from Mothers Meeting, a group of super fit mummies got together to talk sneakers, babies, yoga and art with the super talented artist Ernesto Neto. Using his crocheted art installation as a platform for baby interaction (as well as an opportunity for mummies to try our yoga moves), we were all running around like kids in a candy store. I couldn't believe the yoga instructor convinced me to do a handstand against the sculpture AND I DID! Love it! Baby M was chilling with his pals and I got to have a giggle with my girlfriends whilst lusting over the latest Flyknit sneakers which are made through actual knitting techniques- Unbelievable! I couldn't believe how much innovation went into the sneakers, and I could definitely see the link between art, design and the final product. I managed to get myself kitted out with a new pair of kicks (although I have to wait a little longer for the fly knits), and danced all the way down Shoreditch High Street. Lush love Nike!
